Administration

The County Administrator’s Office serves as the management office for Greene County government. The County Administrator is appointed by the Board of Supervisors and serves as Chief Executive Officer. Additionally, the County Administrator serves as Clerk to the Board of Supervisors as well as official liaison to the Constitutional Officers, the Judiciary, and State and regional agencies.

The County Administrator directs and supervises daily operations of all County departments and agencies that are under the direct control of the Board of Supervisors pursuant to County ordinances and regulations. This includes supervision of County staff, implementation of policies set by the Board of Supervisors and ensuring priorities established by the Board are carried out. The County Administrator ensures compliance with Federal, State and local laws and ordinances.

The County Administrator’s Office strives to provide the highest quality of customer service by maintaining open communications with the business community, legislative delegation, surrounding local governments and County residents. This office serves as the primary point of contact for citizens seeking information regarding county activities and services.
