If you are familiar with Stanardsville, the Office is in 32 Stanard St (previous location of the library). You may register to vote here, when you renew your license, at DMV, or by printing out an application -- link on the left. Greene County HistoryGreene County was formed from Orange County in 1838 and was named for Nathaniel Greene of Revolutionary War fame. Stanardsville is the county seat. The present courthouse was built in 1838 on land donated by Robert Stanards. Absentee VotingAre you going to be absent on election day? Absentee ballots are available at your local voter registration office 45 days before election day. The office is always open on the two Saturdays prior to election day.
