Greene County Transit Our transit fleet consists of multiple vehicles equipped to comfortably accommodate wheelchair clients to their chosen destinations of choice within our normally scheduled routes. Our first shift scheduled routes include, for the most part, the entire Greene County area, and the City of Charlottesville. Our second shift scheduled routes are for ‘in county’ services only. Both first and second shift ‘in county’ services are on an immediate call in bases. Scheduled transportation services to Charlottesville begin picking up clients at 6:30 a.m., 8:00 a.m., and 12:00 p.m. This scheduling is set up to meet the critical needs of our clients for doctor’s visits, workers to work, and shoppers alike. The scheduling to Charlottesville requires a 24 hour call in time to the transit office to assure your transportation needs. Transit vehicles to Charlottesville are also equipped with bicycle racks for your convenience. Hours of Operation Office hours are Mon. – Fri. from 7:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m. Saturday hours are 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Senior Saturdays – seniors ride for free Rates In-County $2.50 per stop Charlottesville $3:00 per stop |
