The Greene County Treasurer is a constitutional officer (required by the Virginia Constitution), who is elected by the citizens of Greene County. Responsibilities of the Treasurer are to collect and record all tax revenues and local fees, to represent Greene County in banking matters, and to manage the investments of County funds. For 2008 Greene county decals are no longer required. The fee will be added to the first half of the 2008 personal property bill. |
